Why Should You Add Yoga?

Why Should You Add Yoga?

When yoga first became popular in NYC, I remember being concerned with the superficiality that wafted around the practice. America does like to borrow from other cultures and leave the most critical aspects behind, in this case, the yogic lifestyle. Everyone should practice yoga and lifestyle!

Complex poses and terminology turned it into a practice for the privileged. It often seemed more about the clothes than the beautiful benefits yoga brings to life. Something I talk about in my self-help book, Unleash the Empress.

Thankfully those days are over. Nowadays, I foresee a future where children are taught the yogic lifestyle, and its practice becomes something families and communities do together. It will help turn the tide of the mental health crisis—an extraordinary vision of a better future.

When I finally decided to change my life, I added yoga to my routine. It has transformed my mornings and my muscles.

A yogic lifestyle is something you learn as your practice grows.

Regular yoga practice is transformative both for your physical and mental health. Some of the most important benefits of yoga practice include the following:

Improved Flexibility: Yoga can help increase your flexibility and range of motion. This can help you prevent injuries, reduce joint pain, and improve your overall posture.

Increased Strength: Many yoga poses require you to support your body weight, which can help you build strength in your muscles and bones.

Better Breathing: Yoga emphasizes breathing techniques that can help you improve your lung function and increase your oxygen intake.

Stress Relief: Yoga is a stress-relieving practice that can help you feel more relaxed and less anxious. It can also help you manage stress in your everyday life.

Improved Sleep: Regular yoga practice has been shown to improve the quality of your sleep, helping you feel more rested and energized throughout the day.

Reduced Risk of Chronic Disease: Yoga has been found to have a positive impact on many chronic conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure.

Better Mental Health: Practicing yoga regularly has been shown to improve symptoms of depression and anxiety and can help you feel calmer and more centered.

Practicing yoga regularly can benefit your physical and mental health and help you lead a happier, healthier life. You can do yoga just about anywhere and access great free lessons on social media.
